The Institute for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at the Glückstadt Hospital deals with functional, cosmetic, shape-changing and reconstructive procedures. In this area, surgical procedures are carried out for both aesthetic and functional reasons.
Qualified training in this field is only guaranteed if the specialist title for plastic and aesthetic surgery has been acquired after several years of further training.
Dr. med. Florian Bönke
Head of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery
After completing his medical studies at the University of Kiel, Dr. Bönke initially worked there and completed basic surgical training in cardiac and vascular surgery at the Schleswig-Holstein University Hospital in Kiel. In 2015, he then switched to the clinic for plastic and hand surgery with a center for severe burns at the St. Georg Hospital in Leipzig. In 2017 he followed Prof. Dragu to the University Hospital in Dresden, where he played a key role in founding the Department of Plastic and Hand Surgery, where he most recently worked as senior physician. Since 2023 Dr. Bönke leads together with Prof. Dr. Said the Institute for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery at Glückstadt Hospital.
Since 2015 Dr. Bönke works exclusively in plastic and aesthetic surgery. In addition to the reconstruction and restoration of the body shape using free tissue transfer and hand surgery, he specialized in body shaping and tightening operations after weight loss.
Dr. Bönke is a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery and a full member of the “German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery” (DGPRÄC), the world association “International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies” (ICOPLAST) and the “European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery” (ESPRAS), as well as an associated member of the “German Society for Surgery” (DGCH).
Dr. med. Moritz Magens
Senior Physician for Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery
Dr. Magens works as a senior physician for plastic and aesthetic surgery at the Glückstadt Hosptal.
After completing his medical studies at the University of Lübeck, he completed basic surgical training in general surgery in Hamburg.
In 2018, he then moved to the Clinic for Plastic, Aesthetic and Hand Surgery at the University Hospital Lübeck (Prof. Dr. Mailänder), where he acquired his specialist qualification.
He then worked as a specialist at the Agaplesion Diakonieklinikum Hamburg until he moved to the Glückstadt Hospital in 2024.
During stays abroad in South Africa and Malta, he was able to gain valuable experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Magens’ treatment focuses on body contouring surgery and tightening operations as well as the treatment of lipedema.
Dr. Magens is a full member of the “German Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery” (DGPRÄC), the world association “International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies” (ICOPLAST) and the “European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery” (ESPRAS) as well as the “German Society for Surgery” (DGCH) and the “German Society for Hand Surgery” (DGH).
He is also a member of “INTERPLAST-Germany” e.V., which helps patients with congenital or acquired diseases through plastic surgery in developing countries.
