NEUROSURGERY AND
SPINE SURGERY
In the Neurology Clinic we treat the entire spectrum of neurological diseases. For diagnostics, we have specialized examination methods at our disposal, which are led by certified trainers from the respective specialist societies (DGKN and DEGUM). The treatments are based on the latest knowledge. We have specialized complex treatments available for common neurological diseases, which are carried out in close collaboration between doctors, specially trained nursing staff, a wide range of therapists and social services.
Treatment of spinal diseases, specially qualified personnel, cooperation between experts from various disciplines, a minimum number of procedures – these are just a few of the requirements that must be met. The therapies correspond to the current national and international guidelines.

At Glückstadt Hospital, all diseases relating to the spine are treated – from wear-related complaints such as herniated discs to inflammation and tumors to fractures. The range of services includes both conservative and surgical therapies. Operations are carried out as minimally invasive as possible, i.e. with very small incisions. Another special feature is the close connection with the Center for Interventional Pain Medicine.
